The fluid resistance is low, and the opening and closing torque is small, making it easier to operate. This is because, when the gate valve opens and closes, the gate moves in a direction perpendicular to the flow of the medium. Compared to a globe valve, the gate valve requires less effort to open and close. The flow direction of the medium is unrestricted, with no disturbance to the flow or pressure drop. The medium can flow through the gate valve from either side, achieving the desired function. It is especially suitable for pipelines where the direction of the medium flow may change.
